Kazakh-British forum starts in Atyrau
The third Kazakh-British oil and gas material and technical maintenance cooperation forum has started in Atyrau, the Kazakh Industry and New Technologies Ministry said today.
“Around 100 Kazakh companies, as well as representatives of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, KazMunaiGas, Samruk-Kazyna Contract, Samruk-Kazyna Invest companies and other representatives of development institutions and industry associations plan to participate in the forum,” the ministry said. “Besides British Department of Trade and Investment, “Shell Kazakhstan”, “BG Kazakhstan” will also participate. The representatives of 35 large companies operating in the oil and gas sphere plan to arrive.”
Main objective of the forum is to assist in establishing long-term business relations between Kazakhstan and British companies in the oil and gas sector to increase the share of local content and create new opportunities for cooperation in this field.
The forum has been organized by the British Department of Trade and Investment, “Shell Kazakhstan”, “BG Kazakhstan” companies, National Agency for Development of Local Content NADLoC supported by the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies.
Around 81 companies with a share of the British capital operate in Atyrau region. Most of them are concentrated in the oil and gas sector, exports and imports of goods.
