Kazakhstan achieves record on grain exports
Some 12.7 million tons of grain including flour in grain equivalent are shipped for exports in Kazakhstan in 2011-2012 marketing year, which is 2.5 times more than in 2010-2011 marketing year, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan said on Wednesday.
According to the Statistics Agency and JSC NC Қazahstan Railways, Kazakhstan shipped 8.9 million tons of wheat and 2.6 million tones of flour for export as of September 10, 2012.
Thus, Kazakhstan achieved record on grain exports in 2011-2012 marketing year.
The average amount of grain shipments for export (including flour in grain equivalent) amounted to more than one million tones.
