Air Astana, nuovo volo per Omsk

 

Air Astana ha iniziato un nuovo collegamento da Astana a Omsk, in Russia. I voli verso questo centro industriale siberiano saranno operati da Fokker-50 due volte a settimana, il lunedì e il mercoledì.

A partire dal 1° settembre, la compagnia aerea effettuerà due ulteriori voli settimanali saranno con Embraer 190, il giovedì e la domenica. I passeggeri che viaggiano verso destinazioni nazionali potranno usufruire di comodi collegamenti per Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, Aktobe, Shymkent, Uralsk e Kzylorda, mentre i passeggeri internazionali potranno proseguire verso Istanbul, Francoforte e Abu Dhabi. Il costo di un biglietto andata e ritorno in classe economy da Omsk ad Astana parte da 176 dollari, compreso di tutte le tasse aeroportuali.

Astana: inaugurata la moschea più grande dell’Asia centrale

 

(Adnkronos) – Il presidente del Kazakhstan Nursultan nazarbayev ha inaugurato la nuova moschea di Astana ”Khazret Sultan”, la piu’ grande dell’Asia centrale, in coincidenza del suo 72esimo compleanno e del 14esimo anniversario della fondazione della nuova capitale. La moschea e’ stata costruita in due anni e puo’ ospitare 5mila fedeli.

Development Bank of Kazakhstan (KDB) to fund gas turbine power station construction

The Development Bank of Kazakhstan, will allocate 530 million tenge (3 mln Eu)  to subsidise the construction of the Akshabulak gas turbine power station in the Kyzylorda region, the bank said on Thursday.

The Crystal Management company’s project (borrower) with a total cost of 19.6 billion tenge (104 mln Eu) was funded by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan in 2010. Three gas turbines with a total capacity of 87 MW were commissioned in June 2012.

According to the information, the purpose of the project implementation is to resolve the problem of gas flaring and reduce electricity shortages in the region.

Ancora tensione sui cereali

Lo spettro della crisi alimentare del 2008 si aggira tra gli operatori. Il prezzo di molti prodotti alimentari potrebbe aumentare entro la fine dell’anno. Alla siccità che sta colpendo gli Stati Uniti, la più grave dal 1956 secondo la National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa), si affiancano le revisioni al ribasso delle stime sui raccolti di cerali in Kazakhstan e in Russia.
Il ministero dell’Agricoltura russo, ieri, ha tagliato le previsioni nazionali sul grano del 5,9% a 85 milioni di tonnellate: una siccità «allarmante» sta colpendo l’Asia centrale e le stime sono in fase di revisione costante. Il Paese ha «risorse sufficienti di grano – ha ribadito il ministro dell’Agricoltura russo, Nikolai Fedorov – per evitare un’impennata dei prezzi interni».
Intanto i futures delle commodities agricole restano stabili a livelli elevati, e non accennano a scendere. Quello del mais è balzato del 39% dalla fine di maggio all’altro ieri, quando nel pomeriggio ha raggiunto i 7,73 dollari per bushel (+0,13%) al Chicago Board of Trade (consegna a dicembre). I futures del grano (consegna a settembre) hanno registrato un +0,14 per cento, a 8,85 dollari per bushel. I semi di soia hanno toccato i 15,91 dollari per bushel.

Incendiato consolato generale della Siria in Kazakhstan

Un grave incendio, innescato da bombe molotov, e’ scoppiato nel consolato siriano di Almaty, in Kazakhstan. Lo hanno riferito membri della stessa rappresentanza diplomatica alla Tv Ktk. ”Il secondo e terzo piano dell’unica missione diplomatica siriana in Kazakhstan sono andati distrutti”, ha detto la fonte spiegando che le fiamme si sono sviluppate probabilmente in seguito al lancio di ”bottiglie molotov contro l’edificio”. L’episodio sarebbe legato alla difficile situazione in Siria.

Batumi discusses operation of seaport and oil terminal

Charge d’Affaires of Kazakhstan to Georgia Adil Tursunov and Batumi Mayor Robert Chkhaidze discussed operation of the Batumi port and oil terminal at a meeting in the capital of Adjara, Batumi Major’s Office told Trend on Tuesday.

Kazakh company KazTransOil operates these economic facilities in Batumi.

The sides paid much attention to attraction of Kazakh tourists to Adjara and possibility of establishing sister-city relationship between Almaty and Batumi. Tursunov and Chkhaidze also considered the possibility of holding a joint business forum with participation of Kazakh and Georgian businessmen in Batumi.

Fitch assigns Kazakhstan Mortgage Company long-term foreign currency rating of ‘BB’

Fitch Ratings has assigned Kazakhstan Mortgage Company (KMC) a long-term foreign currency rating of ‘BB’ and Long-term local currency rating of ‘BB+’, and a Short-term foreign currency rating of ‘B’, the agency reported on Monday.

The Outlooks for the Long-term ratings are Positive. The rating action also affected the outstanding bonds of the company.

According to the agency, KMC’s ratings reflect the company’s ownership by the government, its strategic importance in the area of social housing and hence potential government support. The Positive Outlooks reflect the sovereign rating and expected capital injection from the state.

The agency says KMC has a relatively long-term debt maturity profile spread out until 2027 with domestic bond repayment concentrated in 2012 to 2018. Continua a leggere

Spanish Talgo signs $1.2 billion contract in Kazakhstan

Spanish manufacturer of railway vehicles Talgo has signed a 15-year contract on maintenance of passenger carriages in Kazakhstan. The contract is worth 989 million euros ($1.2 billion), CincoDias reported.

According to the contract, Talgo will carry out services on passenger carriages maintenance in Zhagiparov PP- a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakh Railways). The company will be responsible for operation of 1,044 passenger carriages.

Talgo company has been working in Kazakhstan for a time. Earlier the company signed an agreement with Kazakh government to renew Kazakh railway’s carriage fleet.

Moreover, in June 2010, Talgo and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy signed an agreement to create a joint venture Tulpar Talgo and build a passenger carriage plant with capacity of 150 carriages per year in Kazakh city of Astana. The plant started manufacture in December 2011.

Gross grain harvest in Kazakhstan expected to reach 14 million tons

The gross grain harvest in Kazakhstan is forecast at 14 million tons at an average yield of 8.7 tons per hectare (kg / ha) due to dry weather, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan said on Tuesday.

In the northern regional areas of Akmola, Kostanai, Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan, the gross grain harvest is forecast at 11.4 million tons at an average yield of 8.7 tons / hectares. In the western, central and eastern regions (Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan) – 1.4 million tons with an average yield at 6.3 t / ha and the southern region – 1.2 million tons at a productivity level of 13.2 t / ha.

According to the report, the current areas of agricultural enterprises of the western and southern regions have begun to harvest. Continua a leggere

Kazakhstan slightly decreases oil and gas condensate production in first half of 2012

Kazakhstan decreased oil and gas condensate production by 1.4 percent in January-June 2012 compared to the same period in 2011, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.

Kazakhstan produced 39.667 million tons of oil during the reporting period, including 6.334 million tons of gas condensate.
Natural gas production increased by 2.7 percent up to 20.469 billion cubic meters in January-June 2012, including 10.332 billion cubic meters of natural gas in gaseous state and 10.052 billion cubic meters of associated gas.
Moreover, Kazakhstan increased coal production by 0.4 percent up to 55.731 million tons in the first half of 2012.

Electricity production in the country hit 45.621 billion kWh in January-June 2012 (4.8 percent increase compared to the same period of 2011). Heat production amounted to 54.405 million Gcal (3.4 increase).
